Nanoblock YF-19 Macross Plus

I am afraid to anounce that in good cannon fodder fashion I had to sacrifice my VF-11C in order to create this bird, it was a dificul process but I think it is a good upgrade from my ver. 1.

Nanoblock VF-11B Thunderbolt Macross Plus

I was happy with my latest VF-11C, but there is nothing like the original color.

This is the first time I have tried to replicate one of my models, definetly it would be an easier process if I documented the process and created instructions.

All and all I like the result.

Transformable Nanoblock Valkyrie VF-11C

I have become a fan of making transformable Valks in Nanoblock, I have found that even with the limited variety of pieces Nanoblocks are really versatile. 

Gerwalk came along well for this cannon fodder.

In order to give the anime look I had to create an exchangeable cockpit shield piece in the right color.

;p my valk fleet is starting to look busy.

Super Dimensional Fortress Macross SDF-1 Nanoblock

This is posibly my biggest project with blocks. I was looking forward to create a transformable SDF-1 at this step in time I could not make a fully transformable SDF, but in this case this is a partsformer.

In battle ship for the SDF is approximately 30 or 33cm long and the weight of the Daedalus and Prometeus requires a special base or to be connected as seen in the pictures in order for the balljoint not to pop out.

I also put special attention in achieving the bridge separation that has been the criticism center of many models.

As mentioned before transformation is achieved through parts forming and Attacher mode is a bit shorter than the ship mode due to the shortening of the cannons.

Regretfully this model is not much of an action figure and articulation of the legs is mostly non existent, but hey we still can pretend that we can do the Daedalus attack.

Nanoblock Macross Plus: Guld YF-21 Excallibur fighter and battroid ver. 1.0

We have to follow the YF-19 with his rival machine, the powerful YF-21, also other great design by Kawamori.

I tried to emulate the agressive and aerodynamic siluette of the YF-21 in this super small scale.

For the battroid mode I also tried to keep it dynamic.

And now we can even do other comparisons and a little bit of dog fighting!!!

Nanoblock Macross Plus: Izamu YF-19 Excallibur fighter and battroid ver. 1.0

Continuing with my collection of Macross desings we get to Macross Plus, quite possibly my favourite piece of Macross media after the original series. I must say that at the moment of this post I have already designed transformable versions of this and other VF's and I will eventually post them here, if you want to take a look you can find me on istagram as dislexicons.

The YF-19 is my favourite Variable Fighter in all macross series, event to this day I believe is one of the best kawamori designs in fighter and robot mode, even when gerwalk is weird.

For this design's battroid mode I wanted to create a small dinamic figure that was very posable wich can be apreciated when using the stand.

In this ocasion I did totally skipped gerwalk mode. Following are some scale comparisons between fighter and battroid.
